Cannot argue with you about the Village People being cheesey (and so are their phones)! The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is such a great song -- wish I'd thought of it.

"Stormy Weather" is one of my favorite musicals. I remember that American Movie Classics used to show it quite a bit back when they were dedicated to preserving classic film. One of my favorite parts is the Nicholas Brothers dance routine.
