That's What It's All About. Clap. Clap.

Last night I…

...tapped out the rhythm to Darth Vader’s theme with rhythm sticks

...pretended I was a balloon losing air

...danced, danced, danced

...shook it all about. Repeatedly. (Don't ask me to define "it." I'm going to leave that up to your imagination...)

...sang “Jesus Loves Me” like a dramatic soprano (which I am most definitely not)

...received infection laughter and giggles for said performance

...led a conga line

...made half-moon shakers with paper plates and pinto beans

...danced some more

...taught the beginnings of a “new song” to sing in “big church”

...wiped a couple of runny noses

...was told “Miss Janey, you dance like my mom.” I don’t think that was a compliment.

...received lots of hugs and “I love you-s”

...cheered and laughed and smiled

...was blessed. And loved. And grateful.

It was a good night. A really good night.

Who could ask for anything more.

You have just described my job to a T. No matter how lousy I feel I walk through that classroom door and all is well with the world. I am so glad you do the choir with those children, they are truly blessed to have you.

I'll bet those kids have a totally awesome Easter program, and a heck of a lot of fun getting ready for it. :)
