Judy Garland. "What'll I Do?"
Written by Irving Berlin.
When grabbing the Irving Berlin link from Wikipedia, I was reminded of this song of his. It's one of my favorites... beautiful, simple and whistful. And achingly evocative of parts of my life. I always get that far away look in my eye when I hear it... like now.

These are, indeed, great finds. I've been listening to a lot of Ella Fitzgerald lately, and if she has a counterpart, it's probably Judy.
Great analogy, jen. While I have to give Ella the edge with phrasing, no one can hold a candle to Judy's emotion when she sings.
Ella is one of the greats i think, her and Nina Simone and so many others making great great music... beautiful Judy... thank you
