Tune in, turn on, drop out. Tuesday Tunes.

Yep It’s time, once again, for Tuesday Tunes, y'all!

If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it; that surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
~ William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the US. Even if you aren't celebrating Thanksgiving now, this week's meme is about thankfulness...

What musical things are you the most thankful for?

Where do I start? I’m thankful for...

Music that makes me feel the rhythm in my bones...

Music that makes me feel the passion in my soul...

Music that makes me a little giddy...

Music that makes me dance from deep within...

Music that gives me faith...

Music that makes Will happy...

Music that makes me think...

My favorite song of all time...

Music that makes me feel alive...

Music that makes me happy...

Music that makes me smoulder...

Music that makes me feel a little guilty (but I don’t care!)...

Music that makes me shake my groove thing...

Music that makes me want to front a band...

I’ll stop now... but I could go on and on and on. And on.

What music are you thankful for... do tell.

You see I loved everyone of your selections I really did except for Britney, for some reason she just doesn't do anything musically speaking for me. I loved that Judy Garland video wow, she was a fantastic entertainer. No doubt that Jefferson Airplane song made many of us want to someday front a band. You my dear have fantastic taste in music. Thank you for sharing and for making my Tuesday have a silver lining!

I'm thankful for this collection! I'm also deeply thankful for U2 and whatever 800 things are my current musical faves. The U2 thing is pretty consistent, though.

Right now, I guess I'm having an 80s resurgence - listening to a lot of Elvis Costello and The English Beat.

And Mozart. I'm always thankful for Mozart.

My favorite song ever is "Everything I Do, I Do it for You" by Bryan Adams.

My favorite singer is Tim McGraw ... anything by him can either put me in the mood I want to be in, or keep me in the mood I am currently in (whichever I want it to do). I know he's not particularly *talented* per se ... but something about his music really speaks to my psyche!

Great post - beautiful songs!

What a great collection of music!

India Arie is an amazing artist and one of my all time favorites. Her songs are heartfelt, soulful and have such a calm about them that you can't help but feel good when you hear her.

I've been listening to Lounge-A-Palooza ad nauseam in recent days.

I've plurked, blogged and openly declared that "Walking On Sunshine" is my go to song to find my happy place. It's my ringtone for when Mancub calls me. I've requested it be played in celebration of my life on that day they lay me to rest.

Great choices! I have to say "Love you Madly" by Cake. It's in my head right now.

Right now I'm most thankful for the music our community band makes - today was my last day there.
